Holistic Psychotherapist, M.A., LMHC
About Kirsten
I often say that my approach to healing began long before I became a therapist.
I was raised in California by a family of what I lovingly call "natural pioneers." My grandmother was shopping in health food stores in the 1970s when most people were still eating TV dinners. Long before holistic wellness became mainstream, I was surrounded by the belief that the body has an incredible capacity to heal when we learn how to support it.
That foundation shaped the way I see health today.
When I began college, my very first psychology class was Criminal Psychology. From the first day, I was captivated by understanding why people think, feel, and behave the way they do. As my education and career evolved, I realized that lasting healing could never come from addressing the mind alone.
True healing happens when we honor the connection between the mind, body, and spirit.
That philosophy has become the foundation of my practice.
I believe symptoms are often messages rather than problems to eliminate. Anxiety, burnout, depression, relationship struggles, and emotional overwhelm are invitations to better understand ourselves, not signs that something is wrong with us.
My role is to help you uncover what your mind and body have been trying to communicate so we can create meaningful, lasting change together.
Every client receives a personalized treatment plan because no two healing journeys are the same. Depending on your needs, our work may integrate psychotherapy, EMDR, mindfulness, nervous system regulation, yoga-informed practices, holistic wellness, and other evidence-based approaches that support your unique goals.
My hope is that our work extends far beyond symptom relief.
I want you to feel calmer in your body, clearer in your mind, more connected to yourself, and more confident living a life that reflects who you truly are. When healing happens at the root, lasting change becomes possible, and that's the work I'm honored to do every day. Learn more here.
My sidekick and zen Chihuahua, Bailey Louise. She is in all of my sessions, and my clients love her!
